La gobernanza comunitaria se nutre de la diversidad
The project arises from the urgent need to increase and improve the capacities of civil society and CSO’s to dialogue and effectively excercise their civil and political rights to participate in the design, implementation, monitoring and social audit of public policies and institutional practices, in order to improve social cohesion and good governance from an intercultural, gender and sustainability perspective, through culturally and linguistically relevant practices as well as tools.
To contribute to increasing the degree of social cohesion in the country and in particular in the State of Oaxaca. Strengthening the action and professionalization of CSOs at the community level, through the development of their capacities to promote and improve their participation in the design, execution, monitoring, social audit of public policies and institutional practices at the state and/or local level.
Develop and consolidate technical and institutional capacities of grassroots communities and CSOs in 10 marginalized localities of the State of Oaxaca. Promoting the right to active participation in transparency and accountability in the design, implementation, monitoring and social audit of public policies and dialogue with the government, in order to promote the full exercise of human rights and good governance with an intercultural, gender and sustainability approach.
The project was designed and implemented by five civil organisations: Solidaridad Internacional Kanda (SiKanda), Centro Profesional Indígena de Asesoría Defensa y Traducción (Cepiadet), Diversidades y No Discriminación (Diversidades), Iniciativas para el Desarrollo de una Economía Alternativa y Solidaria, A. C. (IDEAS Comunitarias) y Propuesta Integral para la Sustentabilidad (Propuesta)
